Cloudy Newborn Family Portraits at Madhavaram Botanical Garden- The Gadiel family

"Special" doesn't even begin to describe this day. This shoot will forever and always be so close to my heart for a million reasons. 

Reason 1 - it is an OUTDOOR family shoot with a NEWBORN! Rowena is only 23 days old and just so precious! (I very rarely get to do newborn family portraits and never outdoors so this one was a dream!) 

Reason 2- It was my birthday and getting to do a family session for one of the sweetest families I have ever known was just the absolute best! 

Reason 3- This family is hands down one of the most precious families I have the privilege of photographing. Their kids are always so polite and so co-operative. They have always been so trusting but today showed me the extent of their trust. There was complete cloud cover and it was getting darker by the minute. We could all see the dark clouds but neither Gadiel nor Shiny voiced so much as a doubt as to whether or not this would work. They were so trusting that we flew through the poses and by God's Grace got everything we needed right before the skies opened up to a downpour.

Reason 4- This shoot was pure adventure! From bringing a precious 23 day old to an outdoor shoot with two other young kids, to braving to do the shoot despite the cloud cover, this family was an absolute champ! They were all in and it was such a gift! 

Reason 5- They surprised me with a cake! I had an outdoor cake cutting in the rain, for the first time ever, and it was one of the most special and sweetest memories ever! 

I am so grateful that I get to serve such sweet sweet families. Praise God for today - for the joy, the laughter, the clear skies so we could take our pictures and for all the memories!
