Retirement Party-My mum

June 12 2022. The day we celebrated my mum's unparalleled service as a Vice- Principal. It was just the best! And it was so full of God's Grace. The months leading up to the party was filled with planning, browsing the Internet and a lotttt of confusion and frustration. We almost gave up at a point but God sent the encouragement we needed and we dug our heels in and stood our ground. When everything was planned and set and we were counting down the hours, I prayed, "Lord let it be according to Your plan and not mine" and I am so glad it happened according to God's plan because it was beautiful. Everything I had planned in my head was right in front of my eyes and it was wayyyy more beautiful than I had pictured. It was nothing like I planned but it was everything that it needed to be. My dad and I had the privilege to sit and listen to my mum's colleagues talk about her legacy at school and to watch what a blessing she was to the people she was with. I have always admired how hard working my mum was but hearing others say it just hits you different.

I remember having a backup plan in case in rained and the huge grey clouds rolling in made me pray that God would hold off the rain and He did. Oh man, everything was absolutely perfect.

It was a beautiful evening that fully fulfilled its purpose. Praise God for everything!
