Rainy Family Portraits, Madhavaram Botanical Garden- The Finney Family

"Adventurous" and "precious" are the words I would use to describe this session.

I had already decided that I was going to challenge myself  this session and I willfully chose not to go to my usual spots at this park. Which meant I needed to be there earlier than usual to scout locations. Praise God that He gave me clear skies the entire time I was scouting spots. As I was ending and getting ready to meet the family, I felt a rain drop and sought shelter. Seconds later, it was pouring. For a good 30 minutes. I was praying the entire time and the skies started clearing up but it was still drizzling. 

While I thought I needed clear skies to have a gorgeous shoot, I was so wrong. This sweet family walked up to me, all smiles and their smiles only grew wider! Despite the rain and the wetness, they were absolute champs! Just so sweet, so warm, zero hesitancy, so co-ordinate and complete trust. The girls were just absolutely precious! They were so good that we got everything we wanted and still had time! Honestly if they didn't have plans after, I might've requested they stay a little bit more because they were just so amazing to work with! What a privilege and an honor to work with sweet sweet families like them! 

Praise God for making today happen, for providing in more ways than one, for all the rain gear, for the amazing family and for all His protection and provision. 

Rainy family shoot and it was one of the most beautiful ones I've ever done and definitely the most adventurous! 

Today was a beautiful reminder that God doesn't have to clear the grey skies to provide but He can work miracles through the rain! Praise God!
