What does "post processing" mean?
Post processing refers to anything done after a shoot to process and perfect those images. It's like all those hours you put in to prep for a presentation at your office. Your work isn't just with the presentation but also your preparation hours. It is your time and it is valuable and you need to be paid for it. Similarly, every one of my photoshoots involves one hour of pre shoot work (this is where I prep poses that would look great on you and figure out my frames and composition and everything), then the actual shoot (this duration depends on what session you've hired me for) and post shoot work (this is where I color correct your images and make them absolutely perfect just for you!)
Do you shoot only group pictures for family sessions?
Nope. All family photo sessions include group pictures of the entire family, pictures of mom and dad, pictures of the kids, pictures of mom and kids and pictures of dad and kids.
Can I change plans right before the shoot?
You are super important to me and I want the best for you, which is why, I would spend hours prepping for the shoot - the poses, the outfits, specific poses for the outfits chosen, the location, the colors, everything. I would really really recommend not changing the plan.
Will you share the RAW images?
I think you are the absolute best and you deserve nothing but the best of the best. And the RAW images, well they aren't the best of the best. They need a bit of tweaking. So I will tweak all your images and make sure that they are the best of the best. Pinky promise. What do you say?
Will you be posting the pictures ? Why?
Yepp! You wouldn't hire me if I just tell you I'm a good photographer, would you? Nobody will! But if you look at my work, and you like it, you would hire me, wouldn't you? That is why I post the pictures. As my portfolio. So people can see them.
I totally respect you and your family. I promise, all the pictures that I take, will be posted on social media, ONLY as a part of my portfolio. I will never ever ever, misuse them. Scout's honor.
If I opt out of my complimentary portrait session that is included for events, do I get a discount on the session fee?
The portrait session is a gift from me. It is complimentary and ought to be in the same month as the event. Should it be an add-on then opting out would affect the session fee. Since it is complimentary, it is neither mandatory nor will it affect the session fee.
How do I choose the 10 for the complimentary portrait session that is included for events? What if I want more?
Within 2 weeks after our portrait session we'll get on a zoom call where I will show you the entire gallery and you can pick your favourites! You can totally get more than 10 too! Every extra picture is Rs.180. Should you want the entire gallery, you can get it for Rs.3500.
Do I get an album for events?
I'm really sorry but I don't offer albums just yet.
Why do the charges differ for events and portraits?
You know how a plate of biryani and fried rice is priced differently though they are both basically rice? It's the same way. Events and portraits are two very different types of sessions. The prep work, the post shoot, the day of the shoot or event, everything is different and hence the pricing changes accordingly.
What are your rescheduling and cancellation policies?
Sickness and emergencies (natural disasters and change of weather too!) come unannounced right? I totally get it. We can reschedule the shoot, no problem at all! Rescheduling can be done once with no extra charge. If the session is rescheduled more than once then a fee of Rs.1500 will have to paid per rescheduling.
If you wanna cancel the shoot, that is perfectly okay too! I will refund 50% of the price of the package within two weeks from the day of cancellation. But the cancellation has to be done at least three days before the date of the shoot. If the cancellation is done within 48 hours of the shoot, there will be no refund.
