Mommy&me session, ECR- Sharon&Ellie

'Thunderstorms'. Hours and hours of 'thunderstorms'- that was the weather forecast for this Saturday. We couldn't reschedule so I pushed the shoot an hour earlier to have a safety net. Sure enough, we needed it. We had a curveball but it wasn't the weather, it was the location. I always go to the location 15-20 mins earlier than when my clients are supposed to arrive- gives me time to scout and find the best spots. This time though, I arrived to a sign that said the location was closed for the weekend. We had to pivot and change locations at the last minute, but oh man, what a blessing it is to have such sweet and trusting clients!

They trusted me with my recommendation of being punctual to the shoot and their punctuality gave us the time we needed to travel to the other location, settle down, warm up and have a wonderful shoot!

This warm soft-spoken family was just such a joy to work with! They were just absolute champs! Despite the last minute changes, their smiles didn't fade and their joy never changed. If anything the more time we spent together the more joyful they were!

If they hadn't trusted my recommendation to be punctual to the shoot, today would not have been as joyful as it was. Mommy and me sessions are always so fun, but when dad can join in for a few pictures it's even more special.

Praise God for holding back the rain, opening up the skies and giving us the exact light we needed. We had glowy beautiful light and the promised thunderstorm as soon as we all started on our ways back home. Praise God for making everything absolutely perfect!
